Safety sensors are a common closing issue
Photoelectric sensors are typically mounted near the bottom of the door tracks. Their job is to detect an interruption in the opening during closing. Dirt on a lens, physical misalignment, damaged wiring, loose mounting or an object crossing the beam can prevent normal closing. Indicator-light behavior varies by manufacturer, so the opener manual is the best reference for what a solid or blinking light means on your model.
Clean lenses gently and remove obvious objects from the opening. Do not permanently bypass or defeat the safety system just to make the door close.
Look for resistance, not just obvious objects
A bicycle or storage bin in the opening is easy to see, but resistance can also come from damaged rollers, bent track, debris, a shifted weather seal or mechanical binding. If the opener must push unusually hard, increasing force settings is not a substitute for correcting the mechanical problem.
Travel and limit settings
The opener needs to know where the fully open and fully closed positions are. If a setting is incorrect, some systems interpret floor contact or excess travel as an obstruction and reverse. Wall controls, remotes and lock modes
If the wired wall station works but a remote does not, the problem is more likely to involve the remote, programming or wireless controls. If neither works, check opener power and wall-console status. Some consoles have vacation or lock modes that alter remote operation.
Mechanical problems that can stop closing
Door hardware matters just as much as opener electronics. A loose cable, damaged roller, track problem, broken spring or poor balance can make a door unstable or difficult to move. A crooked door is an important warning sign because continued operation can pull additional rollers out of track or damage panels and opener components.

A sensor alignment or control issue is a different repair scope from damaged track, cables or opener electronics.
